Chinese New Year Exhibition – Lilian Lai

Lilian Lai’s exhibition Australia Through Chinese Windows will be launched at Culture at Work on Chinese New Year Saturday 1 February 2.30pm.

Dr Richard Wu will give a talk on Chinese painting ‘Likeness and Un-likeness’ a quotation from Qui Baishi (1864-1957) at 3pm. Lilian Lai’s paintings on rice paper reflect her experience as a migrant in Australia where she feels at home since arriving in 1988 and will be exhibited at Culture at Work’s Accelerator Gallery Saturday 1 Feb 11am -3pm  and Monday 3-7 February 11am to 3pm.

Culture at Work is the major sponsor of Lilian Lai’s exhibition. Lilian was awarded first prize in the Pyrmont Art Exhibition as part of the Pyrmont Festival 2013 in Pirrama Park. The first prize was a free exhibition at Culture at Works Accelerator Gallery.
