In this exhibition he have tried to capture some of my favourite aspects of Pyrmont, from raw industrial to ageless charm, in watercolour. The hulking leviathan mass of the cement works stands side by side with the humble worker’s cottage, the refurbished wharves and the familiar pubs. Where appropriate, I have provided a little historical context for the viewer to follow up, if interested.
These many faces of the Pyrmont suburb and its intertwining histories are endlessly fascinating to me. This exhibition is my reflection and response.
