in the heat of the moment
An art/science exploration of the sensory (im)perceptibility of anthropogenic global warming. This exhibition features thermographic stills & video of bodies in bush landscapes, created as part of Adam’s 2014 CULTURE AT WORK art+science residency.
Creative Sparks – Blue Carbon, (2014-2015) is a creative art-science education program that will include 250 primary school students from five inner city primary schools and one primary school in the Penrith and one in Mudgee area.
The thermographic image reveals to us digitally what cannot be seen with the naked eye: heat. Thermal imagery also anonymises a person’s identity. I will produce a HD documentary video diptych or triptych, for exhibition at Culture at Work, and then beyond.
CULTURE AT WORK is passionate about collaborating with partners and sponsors on projects inspiring future generations of creative thinkers at our art-science creative hub.
